Quality Proficiency to Crop, Soil and Irrigation System of Recycled Wastewater from the Van/Edremit Wastewater Treatment Plant

Increasing pressure on water resources in the world has revealed necessity of using marginal irrigation. With use wastewater, which is one resources, freshwater alleviated, discharge problems wastewater are solved, and soil crop productivity increase with high nutritive effect wastewater. However, salinity, heavy metals, some harmful chemicals, pathogen risks should not be ignored. In this context, study, effluent treatment plant located central Edremit district Van province was evaluated terms usability Samples were taken from treated during vegetation period 2020 2021 pH, EC, cation anions, micro elements metal, total nitrogen phosphorus, suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, biological fecal coliform, percent sodium, sodium adsorption rate, residual carbonate Langelier saturation index determined by analysis calculations. As a result does pose risk carbonate, langelier but attention paid to demand contents. It concluded that compliance national international standards, there no harm its irrigation thus can recommended as reliable source for semi-arid Van/Edremit. order ensure safe sustainable management it necessary monitor quality make inspections soil, systems.
